Bhagavad Gita as a manual of Ahimsa
15 June, Sun, 6:30-7:30pm (London time)
The Bhagavad Gītā is a small portion of the much larger epic ‘Mahā-bhārata’. I invite you to join me for a look one of the most famous yoga texts within the context of its backstory. As a manual of ahimsā (non-violence), how can the Bhagavad Gītā help us to engage in the ‘battle of life’ in a more compassionate way and make positive changes in our lives.

Krishna Jayanti : Krishna's birthday
17 August, Sun; 6:30-7:30pm (London time)
The evening’s focus will be on Krishna as the supreme game-changer. Many popular stories paint him as a bit of a trickster. He is Navaneetha-chora (the butter-thief) and the one who steals your heart (Chitta-chora). But he is also the one who runs away from the battle and lives to fight another day. The talk and meditation will focus on stories of Krishna as a guide and inspiration to your practice.

Navaratri: 9 nights in honour of the Divine Mother
21 Sept, Sun eve, 6:30-7:30pm (London time)
Join me, Swami Saradananda, at the start of Navaratri, the 9-night celebration of the divine feminine. Through story and meditation, we will look at this annual festival as representative of the yoga journey.
The first stage is purification, as represented by Durga/Kali. The second, nurturing and strengthening, is personified as Lakshmi. Only when you have cleansed your negative propensities and are strong enough, are you are ready to take the final step towards the reception of the light of wisdom, as personified by Saraswati.

Diwali Satsang
19 Oct, Sun, 6:30-7:30pm (London time)
The Indian Festival of Lamps comes on the darkest day, at the start of the darkest month of the year. It is a celebration of the night that Lakshmi (good-fortune) looks for her home for the coming year.
Join me, Swami Saradananda, for a talk and meditation on the self-luminous inner light of the Self that is shining steadily in the chambers of your heart.
